Color Forecasting 101

I know the year is practically half over, but did you know that the color of the year 2013 is Emerald Green?  Oh really, say all of you green haters out there – you can’t force a color on me or anyone else!  (As a designer, I can certainly attest to that fact.)  But, lest you feel manipulated by some artistic and collective “big brother”, color trend forecasters may be telling you something that you already know.

From Warehouse to Design Studio

For many years, Pulliam Morris was located on Devine Street in two wonderful old houses. Over the years, the business grew and we began to run out of space, so in 2010 the owners of Pulliam Morris began the search for a new location.  An old warehouse in Five Points was the blank slate we needed to create a space perfectly tailored to our needs.

This view is looking towards the front of our space. The old loading dock door is now our front entrance.

Pillows Add Punch!

One question I am always asked is “do we need pillows and why do they cost so much?”  These are my reasons why!

Very often, I use a fabric on pillows that ties together the scheme in a room. It may have a combination of colors,  or it may have a strong design that gives a graphic punch to the room. The wow  factor. Sometimes this fabric can be expensive and the budget will only allow for a small amount to be used. So, with only two yards of fabric, I can have that special fabric the room needs.
