One question I am always asked is “do we need pillows and why do they cost so much?” These are my reasons why!
Very often, I use a fabric on pillows that ties together the scheme in a room. It may have a combination of colors, or it may have a strong design that gives a graphic punch to the room. The wow factor. Sometimes this fabric can be expensive and the budget will only allow for a small amount to be used. So, with only two yards of fabric, I can have that special fabric the room needs.
The pillows really punch up this room with color and pattern.
Another reason those pillows can be costly is all the parts and pieces necessary for them to arrive at your house. Each pillow includes fabric, trim, freight, pillow forms (I always use down), seamstress labor, and delivery to your house. No wonder they add up!
