With each decorating challenge I try to think, “what traits does my client exemplify, and how can their home display their personality?”
When my client and long-time friend asked me to spruce up her home, her reputation for overflowing hospitality immediately came to mind. Every time I’m invited to her home she has something special baking, from apple cobbler to homemade sourdough bread. Hospitality, then is what I want people to remember of her home also. It was a delight to work with her to update the breakfast room, sunroom, and den so that they are welcoming and friendly as well as comfortable for the many grandchildren and children that often visit.
A new chandelier in the breakfast room is a welcome update, while roman shade valances add decoration to the bay window area.
New upholstered furniture with fabulous pillows give a handsome yet warm feel to the family room.
Bright indoor/outdoor fabrics are perfect in a sunroom, that serves as the family’s favorite gathering spot.
What a privilege it is to be invited into this home!
