When building a home there are plenty of considerations to keep in mind – position on the lot, orientation to the view, sunlight patterns, existing trees, and function of the outdoor spaces. Outdoor living areas can be some of the most frequented areas of a home, and are crucial to creating a place where the owners can relax and unwind.
Overlooking the Saluda River, this outdoor space feels like a living room because of the stone fireplace, custom shutters, and rug.
Amazingly enough, the addition of an outdoor rug and comfortable seating enhances the appeal of this back porch. Adding an odd chair and garden seat make it easy to accommodate extra guests and provide a fun way to show off the client’s personality and French Country style. The locally-made, custom, glass coffee table was created from a re-purposed iron gate, adding character and decoration.
