Using Artwork to Inspire a Design Scheme
When I begin a room scheme, often I find inspiration from artwork the client loves. This particular framed watercolor of a Venice canal is not only beautiful, but also happens to have many colors that are popular this fall. It is a good starting point because the taupes, yellows, and greens can set a simple backdrop, letting the accent colors and patterns really pop on the pillows, accessories, and small furniture.
