An Eat-In Kitchen With Elegance

You often see built-in seating (known as a banquette) in a kitchen or breakfast area.  Typically they work well in a corner or tucked into a window surrounded by built-ins.  They can add warmth and character to a room, eliminate clutter,  as well as add architectural detail.  They can also be helpful when space is limited or in a high-traffic area when more clearance is needed.

What’s In Your Closet?

While restoring a late 1700s house in downtown Charleston, we came across a common problem but found a unique solution.

One of the bedrooms did not have easy access to a bathroom for their overnight guests – not particularly convenient!  We worked with their architect, Glenn Keyes, and came up with the perfect idea to help solve this problem.  A “bath closet.”

From Warehouse to Design Studio

For many years, Pulliam Morris was located on Devine Street in two wonderful old houses. Over the years, the business grew and we began to run out of space, so in 2010 the owners of Pulliam Morris began the search for a new location.  An old warehouse in Five Points was the blank slate we needed to create a space perfectly tailored to our needs.

This view is looking towards the front of our space. The old loading dock door is now our front entrance.
