Designing a house takes lots of behind-the-scenes work before you can enjoy the finished project! I have some clients in Upstate SC who are building a condo as a second home. Several years ago we helped them with their lake house nearby, and when they decided to start this project, they asked for my help.
As the day gets closer for the building structure to finish, it was time to spend a day choosing some finishes and ironing out millwork details.
First stop was the custom woodworking shop, M & M Custom Woodworks. Here we finalized cabinet drawings and door front details.
After a short lunch, during which we looked at lighting catalogues, we headed over to Clayton Tile where we selected bathroom tiles and kitchen backsplash mosaics.
Our next task was to choose a powder room sink and faucet set at Ferguson. Although we didn’t end up choose this sink, we did find a stunning faucet set! A few days later, we did find the perfect glass vessel sink to go with it.
The last stop of the day was Campbell Tile Company, which is really more of a granite showroom. It was a cold day to be looking at slabs in their yard, but we found the perfect granite and marble for all the countertops.
