What’s in My Bag?

We rarely make a trip to Atlanta without visiting ADAC for some inspiration and to pick up new samples to bring back to our showroom.  While in town for Market earlier this month, our designers took advantage of some time at ADAC by selecting fabrics, wallpapers, and rugs for our shelves along the way.

What’s in my bag?

I brought back some beautiful embroidered linens, bright prints, textured solids, and some fun new wallpapers. Color is back and lively! Enjoy a sampling from my bags. I always feel refreshed and inspired when I leave the design center. Creative juices flowing. My favorite part of the job!

High Point Fall Market

Twice a year we head up the road to the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina. People from all over the world come in to shop and buy goods for clients and retail stores. We are fortunate that it’s only a three hour drive from Columbia.

At the market we see new trends, new products, old friends and a few famous faces.  Famous designers like Tom Filicia, Alexia Hampton and Thomas O’Brian often lend their names to many products including furniture, fabrics, accessories, and rugs.

It’s always nice to catch up with Jay Reardon, president of Hickory Chair Furniture Company.

Tom Filicia was at the Vanguard Furniture showroom.

Ahhhh…France!

France is a fabulous country to view art, appreciate architecture, and wonder over spectacular views! For an art major such as I was, my recent trip there was truly a wonderful experience. The chateaux, the cathedrals, the art museums, and the statues were glorious – not to mention the Eiffel tower in Paris…and the French wine!

The chateaux of the Loire Valley offered unending inspiration. Chambord, a hunting chateau in central France was used by kings in the 1500′s. It was breathtaking!
