Imagination At Work

From the first time I sit down with the architects until the time we deliver the furniture, designing the interior of a house can be years of work. Space planning, plumbing choices, cabinet designs, lighting concerns, finish selections, trim packages….the list goes on and on. All the while, I have to keep a vision of the finished product in mind. Selections made over a few years time would make no sense otherwise.

New Look For A Sophisticated Sunroom

Exceeding all expectations, this multi-purpose sunroom effectively works for my client’s request to update the room while preserving the feel of the space. The finished room  is the result of a collaboration between client and designer. We had to consider the  traffic pattern and the fact that the sunroom is multi-purposed. The space includes a breakfast table, wet bar, counter with bar stools,  and this seating area.

A Dark Master Bedroom Gets An Airy Update

Before the makeover, the master bedroom was cold and boring.

We recently finished a master bedroom for a client in the Upstate –  twice in the last year, the bathroom on the second level had flooded this main-level master bedroom, and it was in dire need of some attention!

Some pillows our client had found with their green, aqua, and brown embroidery became the starting point for the new scheme. Since the previous scheme was green, we decided to feature the aqua and brown tones in the new room. The coverlet, dustruffle, and other pillow fabrics fell into place easily, but it was a challenge to find a drapery fabric that would pull everything together.
