When my client approached me about rennovating her master bedroom, we had just finished the downstairs guestroom. In both bedrooms, the room housed oriental rugs that the client wanted to use. In our first meeting about the master bedroom, a scheme that was designed around her oriental rug was presented. It was slightly darker than she was thinking so we immediatley changed our course. The new idea was to lighten and brighten the room so that she and her husband could relax and enjoy the space.

A new color scheme was selected and the process began. By removing the wallpaper and painting the walls, the entire room took on a new look. The oriental rug was removed and a Stark Carpet was selected to create a light and airy feel to the room. An old chair and ottman tucked in a corner was recovered and raised to be a bit more comfortable. My client decided to change to a California King bed so we selected the Simone Bed from Hickory Chair. Softening the bed linens also created a warm and inviting feel to a beautiful bedroom. The results were amazing.
