In my clients’ basement, it was time to make a transformation from a teenage recreation room to a media man cave! They made a few permanent changes – mainly building a new bar and altering the existing bookcases to house a new, larger television.
New upholstered sofas replaced tired ones and a new indoor/outdoor rug defines the space and is durable.
With the addition of blackout lined draperies, the owners could enjoy a movie any time of the day with no glare!
The upright piano was moved out and replaced with a console table with shelves – a new home for books and decorative accessories. Over it we removed the traditional oil painting and instead hung a more updated painting of sail boats.
A custom sized wine rack was commissioned to cover the vent on the wall.
