“Flipping A House” Takes on New Meaning
December 10, 2015 | Posted by: Carol Hamilton

ExteriorThe expression “flipping a house” takes on new meaning in this historic home renovation.  When our clients purchased this traditional house, they realized very quickly that it was not functional for their lifestyle.  They love to cook and entertain, but there was no access to the side yard and every room was dark and closed off from each other.

As we were walking through the house with them, it became apparent to all of us that the best solution was to flip the kitchen and den at the back of the house.  That led to flipping the two front rooms, in order for the new dining room to be adjacent to the new kitchen.

Loving color, especially red, our client was drawn towards a color scheme of  crisp yellow, green, red, and chocolate brown.
