Cantina in the Country

Several months ago, when it was still warm and the thought of getting in a pool was nice,  my client approached me about turning their existing pool house into a Cantina. A comfortable oasis in the country was their desire. Construction had begun but quickly slowed down when some difficult decisions had to be made. How were we going to finish the beams, the ceiling, the columns, the cabinets… and make them all look good together?

What’s in My Bag?

We rarely make a trip to Atlanta without visiting ADAC for some inspiration and to pick up new samples to bring back to our showroom.  While in town for Market earlier this month, our designers took advantage of some time at ADAC by selecting fabrics, wallpapers, and rugs for our shelves along the way.

What’s in my bag?

I brought back some beautiful embroidered linens, bright prints, textured solids, and some fun new wallpapers. Color is back and lively! Enjoy a sampling from my bags. I always feel refreshed and inspired when I leave the design center. Creative juices flowing. My favorite part of the job!

Animal Print Carpets – Still Popular!

Animal prints are still a favorite choice for carpet.  There are more styles than ever!

Animal print carpets are a great design element because they’re so versatile. They may become a room’s backdrop or a statement piece. Styles range from casual to formal, modern to traditional. There is a carpet out there for every situation.

But lest you think animal prints are all serious, they can be really playful too. This “Cat’s Paw” pattern (shown at the left) is a fun, abstract variation from Dash & Albert that is colorful and unique.
