Finding Inspiration For A Master Bath Renovation

Several years ago my Aunt and I started talking about renovating her master bedroom and bathroom. Plans were drawn several different ways – adding on to the back of the house, the side of the house or converting one of the three bedrooms into a bath. In the end, the best designs for their needs was to add a master bath off the side of the house, adding 270 square feet to the home. The master bedroom floor plan remained the same with the exception of closing up one door to the guest bath and opening up a door to the new bath.

Here’s to Blue…..with a touch of Orange still thrown in!!

In High Point this week the furniture manufacturers showcased their new designs and colors for the designers and retailers at fall market. Orange has been the “in” color for several seasons, but this fall Blue is the new hot color. Blue and white, blue with orange or just plain blue colors were everywhere. Paired with white and other neutrals it’s a fresh clean look that is timeless. A new take on an old favorite!

A New Look for Your Family Room

What a transformation!  By removing the bookcases and wall paneling, covering over the original brick fireplace, and incorporating a new color scheme, we gave this family room a fresh and updated look.
