This hallway was designed to incorporate a built-in desk for the owners, where husband and wife can share the space. All the custom storage cubbies help sort mail and keep paper clutter off the counter.
This traditional home had a built-in desk and bookshelves, however, our client wanted visitors to be able to sit across from his desk. We ordered a freestanding desk, and now the old built-in acts as a console to hold the printer and other items that need to remain close by.
Moving from a contemporary condo to a transitional cottage proved a challenge for this client. However, their existing chrome and leather furniture works nicely with the dark wood desk, while the bright artwork adds splashes of color.
